BAC Juniors Oliver Weddell and Lauren Bone produced some fine runs for Bedfordshire schools in the English Schools’ Athletic Association (ESAA) 2024 National Cross-Country Championship at Pontefract Racecourse, West Yorkshire, on Saturday March 16.

In the second big XC event for both in the space of a week, Oliver finished a highly creditable 196th out of 343 runners and 3rd of the Bedfordshire schools’ seven-man team in the Junior Boys race. Lauren put in an equally strong performance, finishing 204th out of 339 and 2nd of an eight-strong Bedfordshire team in the Junior Girls race. Well done to both of you.
