    Annual Subscriptions

Annual Subscriptions fell due on 1st January and we would like to thank all those who have already renewed their membership.  If you have not done so yet, then we would really appreciate it if you could pay the appropriate amount as soon as possible.
    Rates for 2009 are:
Senior Member  £22  (£17 + £5 affiliation fee to England Athletics)
Junior Member  £12  (£7 + £5 affiliation fee to England Athletics)
Second-claim member  £9  (affiliation will be made through first-claim club)

This year we are introducing a scheme whereby members can pay their dues by electronic money transfer.  So if you are into internet or postal banking you can simply transfer the appropriate sum to the club bank account.  Account details are:
     Bank Sort Code:  20-41-12
     Account No.:  10889148
     Account Name:  Biggleswade Athletic Club
However, please ensure that you include your name in the transfer Reference Box so we can tell who's paid.  Membership cards will be sent out at the end of each month.  Alternatively you could set up a Bankers Order and pay the amount automatically annually.  Again please include your name in the Reference Box.

    Sandy 10 - Sun 29 Mar

Entries are flooding in for this year's Sandy 10.  In order to provide a safe and well marshalled event, we need your help with various duties on the day.  As in previous years, if you would like to run in the event, we do ask that you supply another person (not a club member) to help with duties on the day.

Please keep the date free if you are able to help.  It is great fun and marshals will be encouraged to wear silly hats again this year to ensure the runner's spirits don't flag!

Beds AAA County Cross Country Championships - 10 Jan

A huge thanks to everyone who helped organise the cross country event on what turned out to be a very cold day, with temperatures well below freezing.  Beds AAAs were very impressed with our slick organisation and have sent their thanks to all who contributed.  We also had some notable performances in the races, with the highlight being our Senior Ladies team of Juliet Naylor, Fiona Hunter and Debs Bryant picking up the 2nd Ladies Team award.
