Annual General Meeting - 8:00pm, Tuesday 26th March The venue will be the same as last year - the Weatherly Centre, adjacent to Stratton School and the Recreation Centre, where we meet on club nights.   Please make every effort to attend.   A copy of the Agenda is enclosed with this Newsletter.

Annual Subscriptions

Don't forget that Annual Subscriptions became due on 1st January - £12 for those of 17 years and over, and £5 for all Juniors.   Full family membership is £25, or up to three youngsters in one family may join for £12.   Please give your subscription payment to Chris Clarke, Stuart Galloway, or any Committee member, cheques to be made out to "Biggleswade AC".   PLEASE, PLEASE rejoin if you have not already done so - we do not want to lose you!

Members' Record Times

We would very much like to produce a database of the best finishing times that you have achieved (whilst a member of the Club) in any distance Road or Track Race.   Let us know the year, event venue/Race name, and the record time that you achieved in your career to date.   Pass, or send, the details to Stuart Galloway who will maintain the data on a database.   Obviously if you better a particular time in the future, then let us know.   A sheet on which you can record the details is enclosed with this Newsletter.

Sandy 10 and Fun Run - Sun 7 Apr

Entries for the 10 Mile race are being received daily, and preparations for the race are going well.   This year we have 8 confirmed entries from Erlensee (Biggleswade's Twin town) and we look forward to meeting old and new friends from Germany.   Owing to new UK Athletics' guidelines for road races, and the emphasis on safety, we shall be needing more Course Marshals this year, so please contact Nigel Bush, Stuart Galloway or Kevin Ambrose if you can help on the day.   Please also note that the 2 Mile Fun Run starts at 10:00am this year, with the main 10 Mile Race starting as normal at 10:30am.

Queen's Jubilee Celebrations (Week of 2nd June)

We have decided to go ahead with the idea of organising some Road Races in Biggleswade Town Centre and have contacted the Town Council to seek their advice as to when would be the best time over the holiday.   We await to hear back from the Council.
