Training

Junior Training

Our juniors meet outside on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at the Sandy Sports Centre (click here for a map), by the Liz Yelling Building/Equipment Store, next to the track.

Sessions start at 6.30pm, with the exception of Ken and Chris’s Thursday session which start at 6.00pm.  If you have any problems finding us, please contact a member of the Sandy Sports Centre staff on the reception desk who will be happy to help.

During the winter months, an additional indoor sports hall session is held normally on a Monday evening at Biggleswade Recreation Centre which provides excellent training in a warm and dry facility!  Details of these sports hall sessions will be communicated directly by the coaches and posted on our message board.

We have groups for sprinting, hurdling, throws, jumps and endurance running and we encourage juniors to try all disciplines before making a choice.  We also hold extra sessions which will be arranged directly with the coaches.  Our Training Calendar is available on the right.

Our beginners group caters for those aged 8-10 with the emphasis on fun and participation, although during the winter, this age group is better catered for by the indoor Sports Hall Athletic session.

Come along and find out – we look forward to seeing you soon!
