Cross Country Continues

The second race in the Chiltern Cross Country League took place on Saturday 11th November in Milton Keynes where Biggleswade AC had seven young athletes competing in the U11s, U13s and U15s categories. Following solid performances all round, BAC’s U11 Boys placed 15th, while the BAC U11 Girls team were 11th - bettering their 14th place at the first race in Keysoe. For U13s, BAC was 7th in the Boys category and 6th in the Girls category to maintain their placings from previously. BAC’s U15 Boys team came 5th. After two races, Biggleswade AC currently stands 9th in the Juniors Team overall results.

Also running were the Seniors in the second of the Three Counties Cross Country League races - the venue being Delapre Park in Northampton on a wintry Sunday 26th November. Fourteen runners were out representing Biggleswade AC taking on the usual course but with a twist (the course being reversed this season).  Biggleswade AC battled right up to the line, with a special mention going to Jennie Day who put in a particularly strong finish to overtake a Northampton Road Runner with less than 50 metres to go. Final race result saw BAC’s Men place 14th whilst the women came 9th and an overall team position of 13th.
