George and Noah both achieve double success at London Indoor Games

Biggleswade AC athletes George Hardy and Noah Buckley both posted a race win and PB double during the London Indoor Games (U20/Sen) open track & field meeting held at the Lee Valley Athletics Centre in north London over the weekend of January 17/18.

George kicked things off on the Saturday by leading from start to finish to win his U20M 400m race with a new indoor PB of 51.27 secs. Starting in Lane 6, he was quickly into his rhythm and was clearly in pole position as the runners went down the back straight for the first time and round the second bend. Once the runners crossed the break line at the start of the home straight, George eased across into the inside lane in a clear lead and held that advantage all the way round the second lap right through to the finishing line.

Noah competed in the U20M 60m on the Sunday, an event which offered each competitor two races. He won his first round race, which was seeded according to PBs, in 7.25 secs. Fast out of the blocks, he was vying for the lead at the halfway point before powering through the last 20 metres to cross the line in a clear 1st place. His second race, which was seeded according to first race times, was a much tighter affair. Three runners, including Noah, tied for 1st in 7.23 secs a PB for him and a great start to his 2026 athletics campaign.

At the time of writing the races were still available to see on the YouTube live video feed of the meeting.
